So I am at week six, and I am no where near dropping the 30+ pounds that Janell lost in the same amount of time, but I am still grateful for the weight that I have lost. at this point I am at 16.4 lbs down and 27 inches gone. I was so hoping for a much quicker progress and that part I am a little disappointed, but it's coming off. As sad as it is the biggest part I don't like about not having it come off quick is that I will continue to have to pay for the meals for that many more months, but I want it off and at least it is coming off, so I will stick with it.

One Month Weigh-in

So today is May 18th, it is actually one month 2 days, but pretty close to the 1 month mark. So here is my run down after a month on Medi-fast. I have 13.4 pounds and 24 .25 inches. Not to bad for a month.

I'm still over all happy with my progress, though I wish it would come off faster. I will start my period this week, probably today, so hopefully next week I'll have a 2-3 pound loss. I guess if my period and ovulation week are only a pound or 1.5 pounds but the other 2 weeks are 2-4 then it all works out right? I'll see you all in a week.

3.5 week weigh-in

Quick post, I lost another 3.8 lbs and 4.25 inches. That makes a total of 11.8 lbs and 19.5 inches. 2.75 inches off my bum, Yeah. I need that area to shrink in the worst way. I'll post my inches later.

I lost 1.4 more lbs and 5 inches. I am happy about the inches, but a little disappointed about the weight. I really thought more would come off. This diet is suppose to have great affects for the first little while then slow down. I haven't even been on it for 3 weeks yet. I have lost 8 pounds over all and when I look at it that way it makes me a lot happier. The inches are around 14 and that is great. It is getting really boring to eat this way, but I am working on not caring about that. I don't want to think food is what matters. I want to eat to keep myself alive and not care what it is that I'm eating to keep myself alive and healthy. So that is my update, I hope the weight at least keeps at least slowly coming off.

Starting out!

I am a 35 year old mom of 5 children ranging from 20 months old to 10 years old. I am married to a wonderful man, that loves me for who I am.

I have been at different levels of overweight since I was in Junior High and it escalated after having my children. I am tired of being overweight and have tried many diet schemes that of course have failed. Last year I lost 45 pounds just by eating good, then I stagnated and eventually gained 15 of it back through he holidays. I, after the first of the years started being good again and added in exercise, but have not had a single pound budge. At the begining of April I found out a friend of mine that I have known for about 12 years had lost 50 lbs, so of course I was curious to what she was doing. I found out she was doing the Medifast diet, so after some research I decided to try it for a couple of months to see how it goes. I'm doing this blog to keep track of how I do and to give myself some accountability. I didn't get this blog up as soon as I would have liked to, so I am already a couple of weeks into it.


April 16th was my starting date, I wasn't expecting much, because diet things haven't worked much for me.

Even though I was scared that nothing at all would happen, I have to admit that I was disappointed still. Usually people see a big drop the first day or two and then it starts slowing down. One problem could have been the fact that it was that time of the month. I certainly am not going to give up. I am committed to this for at least a couple of months. I will weigh again on the 27th of April. The weightloss and inches were still really good and I'm hoping for continued success.

4.4 lbs weightloss and 3.75 inches

I'm happy with the weightloss. All together I have lost 6.6 lbs in 11 days and lost 9.5 inches. 1.5 inches being off my bum. That alone makes me very happy. The food over all isn't bad, as long as you learn who to doctor them with spices. I look forward to the 1 meal that we eat that is not package pre-made food. I trying to learn to have a different relationship with food. I didn't realize how much I snacked on things, until I couldn't anymore. I'm trying to eat to be healthy, not eat because I'm stressed or bored. I really like food, but I don't want to be dependant on it anymore.


Next weigh-in day is in a few days on the 4th of May. I don't think I will do an updated picture, until at least at the 2 month mark, at that point I will decided if I'm going to continue to do this diet plan or not. I hope it continues to work. My one friend is having great success and I have another friend who started about a week after I did. I want us all to succeed.
